Del Jones releases election platform

South Dundas, ON – Del Jones announced his five point election platform today stressing the need for the Township of South Dundas to develop a comprehensive strategy for controlled growth. “We have underutilized infrastructure that is available to attract new businesses and new residents. We must work together to develop a vision that will lead to greater prosperity and a larger tax base that will lessen the tax burden on all residents and businesses”, Jones said. He added that he was “confident that we can grow and become a more sustainable community while maintaining and enhancing the lifestyle we all enjoy”.  

Del Jones is currently employed as a full-time teacher with the Upper Canada District School Board. He has over twenty–five years of experience in senior management positions in the private sector. He is a Certified Management Accountant and former Director and Treasurer of the Winchester District Memorial Hospital.

Del Jones announces candidacy for Mayor

South Dundas, ON – Del Jones announced today that he plans to run for Mayor of South Dundas in the 2010 municipal election. “It is time to move the community forward and take on the challenges we face head on”, he said.  Jones went on to say that he believes “South Dundas needs a vision for the decades to come that will ensure prosperity and an efficient local government” and that he can provide the leadership that is needed to make this a reality.

Del Jones is currently employed as a full-time teacher with the Upper Canada District School Board. He has over twenty–five years of experience in senior management positions in the private sector. He is also a former Director and Treasurer of the Winchester District memorial Hospital.
